No mandatory exam sequence: you can start at any level. The previous level is recommended in each case.

Exam topics

  • Advanced classes and object-oriented programming: inheritance, polymorphism, decorators, metaclasses, serialization
  • Best practices and standards such as PEP 8 and PEP 257
  • GUI programming: events, widgets and layout
  • Network programming: sockets, HTTP and a simple REST client
  • File processing and the program environment, e.g. sqlite3, xml, csv, logging and configparser

Exam language: English. The exam is taken via Pearson VUE at a test center or online with OnVUE. The successor exam PCPP-32-102 is being prepared and will then be valid for 5 years.

  2. Prepare. With a course at one of our partners or with the free courses of the Python Institute.
  3. Buy a voucher. In the OpenEDG Voucher Store.
  4. Take the exam. Depending on the exam, online via OpenEDG TestNow or with Pearson VUE.
